upset, we urge calm. When someone offends God, perhaps by taking his name in vain, we say, “What do you expect of sinners?” Of course, it is good to stay calm. But there is a place for righteous anger, for grief over sin (see Pss. 11:4–6; 119:136; 139:21–22).
